Gauri was heart broken…It seemed liked that one moment had killed a part of her, left her stranded in the road of life. Each moment that had seemed worth living had passed; every hope of life seemed to be in the past. She pinched herself, hoping it was a dream and would pass off. But no it was for real; she had to live through this. She had strengthen herself to this very test that god had placed before her too.
In her despair she thought of how her life had changed in the past few months; how every day had seemed fresh and hopeful, really something worth living. She thought of how she started noticing him, but she couldn’t remember now. It was like he had been there always. But slowly he became a part of her life; a part of her soul that was now being torn from her. She knew always that whatever she felt was only hers. He never even remotely felt for her, maybe not even noticed her. But still it brought her peace just being able to see his face in the morning, to be able to hear his voice. The days became beautiful, blissful, and enjoyable.
He had come to their office a few months ago only. He became a part of their friends circle, a part of her life soon. She enjoyed his zest for life, the smile that was a part of his face. The office was a place she enjoyed being in.
And now he was leaving. It killed her even to think of living without seeing him. Was it purely an infatuation? The questions were meaningless now. The only truth that remained was a beautiful chapter in her life had arrived at its closure.
